I beg of Labor, at all levels of government, to give the country something better and more optimistic than "it could always get worse."

In a perfect world, sexuality would be irrelevant and straight people could do gay roles without issue or judgement — but the reverse is not the case, and in many professional realms someone coming out as queer is detrimental to their careers.

Assimilationist queers are not a new thing, and every oppressed minority has its own flavour of folks who think appeasement and ass-kissing is the best way to save their own necks.

The right is lamenting that there will never be another person like Charlie Kirk again — we can only hope.

I don't need to be sold on the possibility that the Coalition will make things worse — I know that they will. If you care about courting progressive votes, we need to be sold on the idea that Labor is going to make things better.

What a fun time to be alive.

Every awful thing done because Trump, and his enablers, demands it of you is still an action on your conscience, in your name, and on your soul.

Not everyone is operating from a place of fear — enough are, certainly, but enough are just chickenshit, or self-serving, or gleeful collaborators.

Erasing queer history requires more than deleting text on a website, but capitulation here will lead to more extensive reality retcons.

They don't make Nazis like they used to.

I'm not really sure how the situation in the US right now can be described as anything but dire.
